1. Excellent Specs: The ASUS UL30A-X5 has been one of my favorite laptop models for 2009 and from the look of its sales figures, is set to take 2010 by storm for a while more. This 13.3-inch model comes with a 1.3Ghz Core 2 processor, which is pretty decent for an ultra slim laptop. The Core 2 processor allows you to perform a variety of moderate and light computing tasks on this machine (as opposed to the Atom processors on netbooks).
2. Lots of RAM: As for memory, this laptop comes with 4GB of DDR3 RAM. This will be heaven sent for all chronic multitasking laptop users (such as yours truly). I often run 5 or 6 heavy applications at the same time and the ample RAM on this machine really helps.

3. Spacious Storage: For me, the 500GB that comes with this laptop is a pretty generous features (for its size and price). Many similarly priced or more expensive laptop models come with a 320GB hard drive or smaller.
4. Beautiful Display:The 13.3-inch display on the ASUS UL30A-X5 is a HD display. It is LED back-lit and has a 1366 x 768 resolution. I often watch HD videos on YouTube and the screen consistently display crisp and vibrant images.
5. Mini Entertainment Unit: Many laptop users often use their laptops to watch movies or listen to music. This model comes with an Intel GMA 4500MHD graphics processor and a pair of SRS Premium Sound Altec Lansing speakers. There is also a HDMi output to connect the laptop to a larger HDTV.
6. Gorgeous Design: I just love the black version of this laptop model. It is very slim and has a brushed-metal finish that gives it a very expensive look. The chiclet keyboard looks really good and was very comfortable to use.
7. Ultra Portable: The 13.3-inch ASUS UL30A-X5 is barely an inch thick at its thickest point. It measures at just 0.98 x 9.28 x 12.9 inches and weighs 3.74 pounds. It will easily fit into any large bag and its lightweight makes it ideal for those who often need to travel with their laptops.
8. Plenty of Features: There are lots of cool features on this model. For instance, there is the Asus IceCool Technology that keeps the palm rest area cool to the touch, even after a prolonged period of use. It also has a multi-touch track pad.
9. Ultra-long Battery Life: In recent times, Asus has been leading the pack in terms of battery life. The batteries on the ASUS UL30A-X5 can last up to a jaw-dropping 12 hours on one charge!
10. Great Value for Money: Despite having all these cool features, this laptop remains very well priced. At the moment, the 13.3-inch ASUS UL30A-X5 retails for around 9 each.
