iPad 2 or iPad 3 - It's Time to Decide What Is Better

When Apple introduced the first iPad in 2010, the mobile device boasts a 9.7-inch LED-backlit full multitouch display capable of rendering typical desktop resolution. This revolution in Apple products led to the launch of the iPad 2 in March earlier this year. Receiving similar accolades as the first generation iPad, Apple decided to push the envelope further by announcing early on their plan to launch the iPad 3 very soon. Once launched, electronic consumers will have to decide either buying the iPad 2 or iPad 3. This scenario is similar to the situation when consumers had to choose between the iPhone 3G and 3GS (or the iPhone 3GS over the iPhone 4) because of overlapping availability.

Before choosing either the iPad 2 or iPad 3, let's look at the core features of both generations of iPad

By sorting out the features of the iPad-2 head to head with the expected features of the iPad-3, consumers will get a better idea on whether or not the third iPad will be worth the upgrade. Of course, it is worth noting that the iPad-2 took a serious leap from the original iPad. But whether the iPad-3 will bring in more significant improvements or not is a tough question to answer.

Foremost, the iPad 2 already integrated front-facing and rear-facing cameras capable of recording high-definition videos. But what it certainly lacks is a camera flash similar to that of the iPhone 4. Fans of the iPad are clamoring for this feature which will hopefully be incorporated into the iPad 3.

Another hardware upgrade almost certain to be included in the next iPad series installment is the retina display. Fans expected this type of display in the iPad 2 but were utterly disappointed. Apple should make up to this and may incorporate retina display into the iPad 3. Some rumors are even suggesting about the possibility of doubling up the resolution to 2048 by 1536 pixels.

One of the major improvements is the battery. The iPad3 will have a lighter and thinner battery. It is being produced by Simplo Tech Co and Dynapack International Corp. Many are reporting that this improvement may cause the price of the product to increase because the battery will cost 20 to 30% more than the iPad2 battery.

Instead of the traditional wired synchronization with the computer as implemented in the original iPad and the iPad 2, the iPad 3 is expected to sync content wirelessly with the host computer. This is already implemented in jailbroken devices and earned great approval among enthusiasts so that Apple has no reason not to enable this convenient feature.

Even though the iPad-2 was just released, in a state of constant technological advancement, Apple intends to make the iPad-3 the best tablet available. With important modifications, improvements, and new features, the iPad 3 will in fact be the best tablet out there.
